Fury’s brutal warning to AJ after champ’s strange answer
Fury took to social media to call out AJ out with the two on a collision course for a fight in 2021.
“Anthony Joshua just s*** himself live on television,” Fury said.
“He got asked did he want the fight. He went around the bushes and put his a** in the hedge. I want the fight. I want the fight next. I’ll knock him out within three rounds. He’s a big bum dosser, can’t wait to knock him out.”
Joshua though was not wanting to focus squarely on Fury when asked about the possibility of a fight.
Instead, he said: “I started this game in 2013, I’ve been chasing belts and fulfilling the mandatories. Of course I want the belts. If that is Tyson Fury, let it be Tyson Fury. There’s no big deal. It’s on to my next fight, I don’t care about anything else. I have to stay focused.”
Joshua successfully defended his IBF, WBA and WBO belts against Pulev and now perfectly placed to face WBC champion, Fury, with all four heavyweight titles on the line.
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn said before the fight with Pulev that he was “as close to 100%” as he could be that the two would fight in 2021.
“We all know what we’ve got to do,” Hearn said after the fight. “We all know what he [Joshua] wants, we all know what I want.
“He doesn’t want to talk about it. He only wants to talk about if it’s signed and delivered, and that’s my job.”
Hearn added: “When he came into our office many years ago, the aim was to be undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
“It’s the only fight to make next. It’s the biggest fight in boxing.”
Top Rank boxing promoter Bob Arum tweeted on Monday that preparation for the fight will start on Monday.
“It looks like the stage is set for the biggest Heavyweight championship fight since Ali-Frazier in 1971, when @Tyson_Fury meets @anthonyfjoshua for the undisputed crown. We at Top Rank will start on Monday working to put that fight together.”
